As we were in the car, driving aimlessly into the blooming day, I said to my dad, “Let’s go somewhere photogenic. I have my camera in the car.” He looked at me and said, “How does the Getty Villa sound?” I agreed to it. My mom did too. Malibu it was. And off we went driving down the cascading metropolitan freeways that swayed us to our destination. The J. Paul Getty Villa was marvelous and photogenic. When we arrived, I realized I forgot to insert an SD card into my camera. Silly me. So, I resorted to my iPhone. I challenged myself to try and capture high quality images that leveled with the caliber I achieve through using my DSLR. It was fun and onerous to have a day completely focused on iPhone photography- but nevertheless, I managed well to create some beautiful images. I processed the pictures on my phone using Vscocam- my absolute favorite editing software. So, without further a due- here is my day at the J. Paul Getty Villa through the lens of my iPhone. Enjoy.
